Creative Prayer Ideas For Kids
Idea 1
Walk around and take pictures of all the amazing things God has made.
print out the pictures and make a book or create a slide show and put them on the computer or tv.
Take some time to thank God for everything He has made.

Draw a picture of what you think God looks like. Around the picture write words that explain God.
Take some time to thank God for who He is. Start your prayers with “God you are….”

Take a look at The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13)
Look at each line and try to re-write it in everyday language.

Come up with a giant list and keep adding to it.

As a team make a list of things you are thankful for that start with that letter.
Bring the teams back together and go through the list.
If more than one team has the same thing on the list, both teams need to cross it off their list.
The winning team is the one with the most words on their list that are not crossed off.

Let kids cut out pictures and glue them on the appropriate pages.

Ask the kids to pause and be still.
Ask them if God said anything to them.
Let them share.

Make a list of people you are praying for and things you are praying about.
Keep this list going over a long period of time.
As prayers are answered cross them off your list.
Talk about how God answers prayers.

Take a walk around your community and pray.
Pray for your schools, friends, community leaders, essential workers, hospital and everything else you see and walk past.
