Ask the kids a beginning questions
What do you need to do to live forever with God?

Work on a memory verse (Luke 10:27)
Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength.

Ask kids to draw a picture of a time when they did something nice for someone else. Then ask them these questions:
How did doing something nice for someone else make you feel?
Would you do something nice for someone who wasn’t nice to you?
Idea 4
Retell the stories using the names of the kids.
Tell the kids that you are going to tell a story using their names.
One of the kids can be the one beaten up, and then talk about each of the or leaders of the group walking past the one who has been beaten up. Then choose one of the kids to be the good samaritan. Talk about how that kid helped the one who was beaten up.

Read through this story with the kids
Let them colour the story while you go around and ask kids individual questions.
What happened to the man lying on the side of the road?
What did the holy man do?
What did the teacher do?
What did the Samaritan do?

Show the kids some pictures and ask them who out of all the pictures could be their neighbour.
- When you show pictures, ask them to hold up a sign that says yes or no.

Kids of Integrity by Focus on the Family has some great questions for a discussion around the story of The Good Samaritan.
Read through the story and then talk through the questions.
Idea 9
Read through and look at the pages of Richard Scarry’s Busy, Busy Town book.
Pick out a few people in the book, talk about how they could be your neighbour.
Talk about how you could be kind to some of the people you see in the book.
Idea 10
Build a Good Samaritan kindness kit. Let the kids know that these packs can be used to help other people. They could bring their back packs when they go to the park, or school or any other place they think would be good.
Start with a small back pack. Give one to each kid.
Give each kid a few first aid supplies to put in to their bags.
Add a few bandaids to each back pack as well.
Add a few blank cards to each back pack. Let the kids know that they can write something in the cards and give them to people.
Add a few snacks to each back pack, and brainstorm any other ideas.
