Fruits of the Spirit - Love (online lesson)

Here are some good videos 

Idea 1

Make a Father’s Day video for Dad, with all the kids.  

  • Let each kid say something they love about their dad.  Dad I love it when…

  • Ask them to take a video and send it in.  

  • String all their videos together.

  • Talk about all the different ways that our dad’s love us.

Idea 2

Show the kids a number of slides, ask if the picture in the slide is showing love or not.  

Idea 3

Tell a personal story from your own life when someone showed you love or how you were able to love someone else.  

Idea 4

Ask kids to go and get their favourite fruit and show it to you.  Or if they don’t have their favourite fruit in their house they can just tell you.  

  • Talk a little bit about trees that produce fruit.

  • Can a healthy tree produce fruit?

  • Can a sick tree produce fruit?

  • How can we stay healthy so we can produce fruit?

Idea 6

Relate the idea of loving other people to a bible story.  Talk about the different ways each person showed love.

Idea 7

Give the kids two minutes to see how many loving things they can do in their house.

  • Let them run around and give their family members hugs, tell them they love them, wipe down the counter top, clean up, they have two minutes to do as many loving things as possible.

  • Let all the kids come back and share the number of loving things they did and what they were.
